Alaska is her home and her skies are one of the main inspirations for the glazes and designs. The impact of nature up here is reflected in and on most of the work she produces. From the aurora and alpenglow to the midnight summer sun, and the sky’s reflection on her waters, Alaska’s landscape never ceases to influence her artistic expression.

She is proud to have her work represented in many collections here in Alaska, the lower 48 and internationally. Kris started making pottery over 30 years ago, her formal training came from University of Alaska.

To round out her formal base, she has attended Metchosin International School of Art, pottery seminars, and workshops around the country. The beautiful Aurora Borealis has become the focus of her pottery. Never the same yet gorgeous to see.

Every piece is dishwasher safe with no harmful glazes.
